SERI KEMBANGAN: Persatuan Pengguna Islam Malaysia (PPIM) activists and several car owners allegedly cheated in a vehicle-leasing scam have arrived at the company's headquarters to demand the release of their vehicles.
The group, led by PPIM activist Yusuf Azmi, was at the office around 11.30am to negotiate with the company.
However, police stopped their negotiations. The group was demanding that all the 17 vehicles held by the company be released immediately.
Yusuf earlier said the group wasn’t being confrontational and would discuss the matter in an amicable manner.
Serdang OCPD Asst Comm Megat Mohamad Aminuddin Megat Alias interrupted the negotiations between PPIM and the company's representatives in the office. Police asked for the NGO activists to leave the premises as the negotiations should only be between car owners and the company
