KUALA LUMPUR, March 28 (Bernama) -- Three non-governmental organisations (NGO), the Malaysian Islamic Consumers Association (PPIM), International Muslim Consumers Association (IMCA) and Malaysian Media Foundation (MMF) will send a memorandum of protest to the United States Embassy in Malaysia next Tuesday.
PPIM chief activist Datuk Nadzim Johan said the protest was to express their dissatisfaction against three American news agencies who were viewed as having given a bad impression against Malaysia in relation to the Malaysia Airlines flight MH370.
"The news agencies are Cable News Network (CNN), Fox News and Washington Post whom we feel have not practised responsible reporting but have instead aired the news through their own perspective only," he told a press conference here Friday.
Also present were IMCA secretary-general Sheikh Abd Kareem S Khadaied and MMF chief executive officer Dzulkarnain Taib.
One of the agencies' news analysis video clip was also aired during the press conference.
Sheikh Abd Kareem claimed that it looked like a planned move to convey a negative impression of Malaysia to the global community.
