KUALA LUMPUR: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak's new
year message has been greeted with all round support from politicians and
non-governmental organisations.
MIC president Datuk Seri G. Palanivel said Najib's message
was a clarion call for unity and fairness for all. The party Youth chief T.
Mohan said Najib's leadership had brought much change for the community.
Hulu Selangor member of parliament P. Kamalanathan said the
premier's speech had defined a vision of a Malaysia that all can embrace and be
proud of.
MCA Youth chief Datuk Dr Wee Ka Siong said the gist of
Najib's message and wish list was timely and in accordance to BN's manifesto,
which was to put the people's needs first.
"He managed to address all the bread and butter
issues," said Wee, who is also the Deputy Education Minister.
The Federation of Malaysian Consumers Associations (Fomca)
president, Datuk Marimuthu Nadason said all Malaysians should support the prime
minister's aspirations to make the country a better place.
Malaysian Employers Federation (MEF) executive director Shamsuddin
Bardan also lauded the prime minister's new year message and said the best way
to help increase government revenue was to increase employees' skills.
Malaysian Muslim Consumers Association executive secretary
Datuk Nadzim Johan said Najib's message and wish list for the new year showed
that Malaysia will have continued peace and stability because Najib pays
attention to the needs of the people.
